Bibliography Resources

APA (American Psychological Association) and MLA (Modern Language Association) formatting are two different ways to reference and cite sources for your research projects and assignments. You don't need to do them in a super detailed manner, but I would like to see you attempt formatting your citations properly throughout the course. You don't need to do in-text citations for me but I would encourage you to try them. In-text citations are the stuff in the brackets at the end of the sentence that point the reader to a specific source in the reference list or bibliography.

If you are planning on going to university/college, you will need to know how to do these things. Please pick one style to use for the course.

  • You will likely use APA if you are going into nursing, psych, social sciences, sometimes business, etc.
  • You will likely use MLA if you are studying humanities, liberal arts stuff, sometimes business, etc.
