2.6 Assignment - Graduation at a Glance

The purpose of this assignment is to complete the table for Grades 10, 11 and 12.  The grade you are now in determines how you complete the table.  For example if you are in Grade 11, you would have already completed the Grade 10 plan.  As well, perhaps you have also completed a Grade 11 plan.  In this case you must think ahead and then complete a Grade 12 plan.

The plan for Grades 10, 11 and 12 lists required courses (broad headings).  Within these broad headings, you must choose a specific course. 

Step 1 - Download and print the Grad Planner Checklist (insert into course - see attachement). Some courses may not be available at your school, so select carefully.  You may wish to make a counsellor's appointment if you need assistance.  Have the Gradplanner available when completing the table.  

Step 2 - From the list of courses under each broad heading, make a choice(s) that is either a graduation requirement or an elective.  Check to see if the courses are available at your school, or by distance.

Step 3 - Check to ensure you have achieved your 80 credits for graduation.  Also check that at least 16 credits are at the Grade 12 level, including a required Grade 12 Language Arts course.

Submission: 

1. Make a copy of the Graduation Plan that includes all three grades.
2. Acquire a letter from your counsellor that you have discussed your plan and it currently matches your plan.  Scan and place in your portfolio.
3. Send a message to your instructor that you have completed the course plan for three grades.
