Answer the following question to reflect on how you feel about empathy.
Required:
- Refer back to the Yes & No survey entitled "Are You Empathetic"? Were most of your answers Yes? or No? Did the results accurately reflect who you are?
- Describe a time when you've felt empathy toward someone else, meaning that you felt sad or happy because you could sense what they were feeling.
- What do you think is the purpose of empathy? Provide specific examples.
- Empathy is just like any other skill; the more we practice it, the stronger it gets. What are some ways you might work to increase your empathy by showing care and concern for others?
