2.4 Creating an Advertisement

For this assignment, you will be employing your new skills editing photos then blending them with digital effects. Start by taking a look at the ad below. Notice that it has a central image and clean background. The text on the bottom is easy to read without being obstructive or distracting.

Your Assignment

Create an ad for a product which does not exist. You will need to base this ad on a photo that you have taken either at school or home. You will need to edit the photo by cropping and applying a filter. You may also do additional editing.

Your advertisement will need to contain the following:

• One clear photo that you have taken (like the ice cream cone)
  
• solid background with ample space around the image (like the blue above)
  
• other images added to central image and blended in (like the skier and polar bear)
  
• graphics which you have drawn added in (like the clouds)
• Text which makes clear the purpose of the advertisement
• You may add a logo like the one above but you don't have to
