Assignment: Photograph Your Safe Kitchen

The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your understanding of kitchen safety and to streamline the process of submitting photos for your labs. For this course, you will be taking photos of all your cooking labs. You need to take good photos of your cooking process. Take photos of all your steps as you follow the recipe. You should be clearly visible in as many shots as possible in "action" poses (sifting, stirring, folding, kneading, etc.) Remember to also have a final finished product shot where your food is beautifully displayed and ready to serve.

For this assignment, take pictures (minimum of 5) of your kitchen. The pictures should illustrate your understanding of the safety issues discussed in this unit and how you have made your kitchen as safe as possible. For each photo, you need to be able to provide an explanation of the safety concern you are addressing and the preventative measures you have taken to make your kitchen safe. You can do so either by captioning each image or by writing a paragraph or two explaining each photo.

You can add the images as JPEGs on to a word document and submit below. You can also put the pictures in Google Slides or some other picture/presentation tool. Make sure to include your written work too and put the link (the URL) in the submission box below.
