5.3 Assignment - Financial Budget

1. You will complete one (1) budget - Either your 1st year of POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION OR GAP YEAR/STRAIGHT TO EMPLOYMENT

2. For your 1st year of POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION.  Please go to the following site:  https://www.td.com/ca/en/personal-banking/student-budget-calculator/#/

3. If you don’t plan on attending post-secondary, you can complete a budget for your GAP YEAR or STRAIGHT TO EMPLOYMENT at the Government of Canada Budget Planner: https://itools-ioutils.fcac-acfc.gc.ca/BP-PB/budget-planner

4. For each site, you will complete the steps and input the values to the best of your ability/knowledge.  You’re encouraged to use family/friends and/or your instructor for assistance.

5. When complete, take a screenshot of your budget graphs with the totals at the bottom (see below) and add this to your ‘Capstone Project’ Portfolio.

6. Answer this question on your Capstone Project Portfolio - ‘After preparing your budget do you find that you are financially responsible?’  Support your answer.
