4.2 Ethics poster
Completion requirements
Scenario
You are working for a graphic design firm, and your boss, who knows you for having stringent ethical standards, asks you to create a poster to hang in the staff room and the hallway. It will serve as a reminder to all staff regarding their ethical obligation as graphic designers.
Your poster will include a catchy phrase which will have to do with ethics in graphic design. It will be broken into four sections:
- Legalities
- Integrity
- Morality
- Cultural Appropriation
For each section, you will need to have several points of bulleted text and at least one key visual or icon.
You will have a chance to put into practice a host of skills which you have learned in this course including layout, whitespace, typography, colour theory, and more.
Your poster could look like the example at the right which is broken into four columns; however, you might break it into quadrants, or into a pie chart. Notice the use of colour palette in the example as well as iconic graphics.
You will need to design this in Procreate, though you can use any other programs as well.
This will be marked out of 20 according to the rubric below.
